Tuners for Fender American and MIM Models • Vintage Conversion • LIX Patina Nickel Kluson Supreme
This is a set of genuine Kluson six-in-line tuners in our LIX Patina finish. LIX is the Roman numeral for 59. Even though these tuners are brand new, they have the look of well-worn pieces from that era.
Over the years, Strats and Teles have come equipped with all sorts of tuners, but the look of the classic Klusons is timeless. This set is ideal for upgrading your modern Strat or Tele. Kluson Supreme tuners utilize the same stamped housing as the originals from the 1950s, but the internal mechanism has an 18:1 ratio for more precise, stable tuning. They completely cover the holes on the back of the headstock from the stock tuners.
The set includes our wide-flange conversion bushings for a beautiful finished look on the face of the headstock. Any indentions left by the washer of the stock tuners is hidden by the flange of these bushings.
These tuners are finished in aged nickel. Most of the stock hardware on Fender guitars is chrome. While it's beautiful when it's new and glossy, chrome doesn't age well. It tends to rust, pit, and flake off instead of developing the wonderful patina found on vintage nickel pieces. Included is a nickel string retainer to replace the stock chrome piece to complete the look. Older American Standards have two retainers, so we've made a second one available as an option.
