Pickguard and Tall Rings for Epiphone Les Paul • CreamTone Classic Collection
Gibson has never made a vintage reissue pickguard or pickups rings that fit Epiphone Les Pauls; we thought it's time someone did!
Classic Collection pickguards are made in our shop on the Axiom Pro CNC. This allows us to streamline production, eliminating the time involved with handcrafted pieces, so we can offer this American-made set at a very attractive price point!
The outer wing shape of the pickguard was taken from an original 1959 Burst pickguard. It's made from .09 sheet material in a beautiful shade of butter cream, and we cut them with flat edges, just like the originals.
The rings are tall (1/4 inch neck and 1/2 inch bridge) and made from pliable butyrate, the same material Gibson used in the 50s. These rings are the same height and color as our Absolute Vintage M-69 rings, but came from the first run we did on our new molds before we added the detailed tooling marks underneath. The top is identical, which makes them the perfect solution for affordable pieces for your Epiphone!
The pickguard and rings on the 1959 Les Paul did not match in color (see the last photo of an original Burst for reference). The pickguard is noticeably darker than the bone white rings, so we've made our parts the same way. You'll also see that the fit of the pickguard is quite loose around the neck ring. We've duplicated that as well! The goldtop shown in the other photos is a 2019 model with this set installed.
Available as a set or choose only the pickguard or rings. Offered in gloss with protective plastic on the pickguard and NOS rings (aging is available as a custom order for an additional cost. Contact us for details).
